Orientation-Top fruiting. Ivory Shimeji is a wood-loving mushroom. Grow on Sawdust 80% and bran 20% or a master mix(Mix of Sawdust and Soy hulls) substrate. The substrate needs to be Sterelised.
Mushroom farms grow them in 3-4 Kg blocks in a grow bag.
Ivory shimeji mushrooms have a mild, slightly nutty flavour and a firm, crunchy texture. They are often described as savoury and umami-rich, with subtle buttery and sweet notes. They are a bit milder in taste than brown shimeji, and they are best enjoyed cooked in dishes like soups and stir-fries.
