Brosciliate glass petri dishes measuring 90mm.
- Material: Made from high-quality brosciliate glass, these dishes are chemically resistant and can withstand high temperatures in a sterilizer or an autoclave both wet and dry.

The agar is poured on them after they come out of sterilizer and not before. You can use a sterilization pouch to put the clean glass dish into, sterelizer and then take them out safetly before placing them inside a still air box or a flowhood and pour right away.
The glass petri dish can be extremely difficult to work with as it needs delicate handling, cleaning where contact with contaminated plate is required(wear gloves and mask), sterilizing before use and maintain sterility after sterilization.
You can pour the contaminated plate content into a high bleach solution to kill all contamination and use soft sponge, soap and warm water to clean dishes before they go into a sterelization pouch and then the sterilizer.
You would need a parafilm to wrap the glass petri dish after transfer. We have disposable plastic petri dish on sale as well.
