This 10g blend is exclusively focused on treating aggressive Trichoderma presence in mushroom cultivation environments, along with other common bacterial and fungal contamination types. This particular blend drastically reduces the incursion of Trichoderma on cakes—an effect that amplifies over time as fewer spores are released into the environment.
This blend does not increase fruiting productivity – in fact, you will see a reduction in fresh weight somewhere between 10-30% over a healthy, non-contaminated substrate. This blend is intended for those who wish to treat Trichoderma incursion that appears during or before the first flush. Trichoderma is a nuisance to deal with, and unfortunately, severe trich incursions require severe treatments. However, this blend is 100% natural and USDA-sanctioned for use with food items, and no chemicals are utilized to drive efficacy.
Just-the-Trich can be used in the following ways:
Substrate Spray: Add 2G to a 1L bottle, spray your substrate when spawning in bulk, and repeat weekly. Store the bottle in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight.For optimal results, use the contents within 6 months. Apply at least 8–10 sprays per 400g of the material.
- Apply this first to grain spawn by spray bottle when transferring to the substrate or directly to the substrate when mixing it with the grain spawn.
Tent Spray: This is the same as the substrate spray, except you spray the inside of your tent or fruiting chamber to proactively treat Trichoderma in the growing environment itself.
